Hi, I have been thinking of writing here for a wile since I have seen there are some nice 540i E34 with 6speed manual gearbox in Estonia.

I have a registry for E34 540i/6 made there were 3203 made in the following versions;

HE51 LHD European Limousine; 797pc
HE52 RHD European Limousine; 249pc
HE53 LHD NortH-American Limousine; 1524pc
HK31 LHD European Touring; 499pc
HK32 RHD European Touring; 62pc
HE98 RHD South-African Limousine; 72pc (Made in Rosslyn South Africa)

HE51 has VIN series; BJ12000-BJ12833 with some VIN skipped.
HK31 has VIN series; GB45000-GB45541 with some VIN skipped.

I own three 540i/6 myself, I have owned another four

Any information/pictures about 540i/6 in Estonia is interesting.

A specially this one #669/797 http://www.bimmerwerkz.com/forum/5-seri ... 21629.html One of only seven 540i/6 HE51 with factory EDCIII/Nürburgring suspension the picture is from 2004 but I checked the car is still in Estonia VIN BJ12687

I own the only other Arktissilber with EDCIII
ex M GMBH test car (with a 4583cm3 350BHP engine) then sold to Polizei in Stuttgart (with original 3982cm3) I'm the third owner it also have 90 liter fuel tank, 1994 M5 brakes, M System II 8+9x17", LSD and a lot more 143tkm.

This one is also nice #451/797 VIN BJ12471 one of 21 in 314 Hellrot

I know that #714/797 with VIN BJ12734 was in Estonia 2006 a Cosmosschwarz with 3rd brake light.

There should be more 540i/6 E34 in Estonia do you guys know which?

As far as I know one was crashed in Tartu and were sold to parts here. Don't know the vin.

One is here, was built to drift car.

In this forum there are many E34 540's with manual gearbox, but many of them had originally automatic transmission and are now built to use 5-speed gearbox.
For example this one was originally 3.0V8 with 5-speed gearbox.

There are more such cars, but I need to find these topics here.

Rain530; Thank you, do you know color or any data about one in Tartu? I can often identify 540i/6 from pictures.

About the driftcar do you know what color it started with? It seems to be built on a MY 1995 or 1996 accordingly to the M Side skirts VIN BJ12270 or higher.

The Tartu one one was something brown, if bmw has such color. Maybe it was brokarot, but somethign like this as I remember.

I know that there is one red (the red one that is on the picture you posted registration plate 671 TCM) car with 6-speed gearbox and one blue car, exact colors i am not sure at the moment. If I found these cars I can post some pictures later.

Should every car registered sometime in Estonia come up? I thought it meant that car still was registered.

It really bad news if it's the drift car it doesn't feel much better that mine is uniq now. It looked good before the crash.

Brokatrot is the closesed to brown, 22pc of HE51 was made in Brokatrot I have checked the 22 Brokatrot VINs in the link above with no luck, but maybe the crashed car shouldn't come up?

About the insurance I am no sure, probably it should come up in search even if the car has not any active insurance.

Btw, I and one of my friend will soon upgrade our cars from 3.0 V8 engine to 4.0 V8 engine and probably with 6-speed gearbox if we could find one, otherwise we have to use 5-speed gearbox. So there will be soon two more such cars

Thank you again. I havn't identified it yet but it looks like a Orientblau with Silbergrau Hell leather built 3/94 or 4/94 at least a MY 1994.

All cars that have checked comes up the same, it seem that BJ12687/Sallu1 is connected to an insurance company

This Arktissilber Touring was originally with an automatic transmission as far as I know.

My 530 V8 is currently with 5 speed gearbox, but I have 4.0 litre engine that I will rebuild with new parts - takes time a little bit. My E46 is also still in progress, but we wont put V8 there at the moment, but in future everything is possible.

In my quest to find which one 804MLJ is found another;

540THZ/BJ12077 Almost the same equipment as 804MLJ with two distinctive differences it has PDC but it doesn't have Shadowline.

Have you or anyone else seen 540THZ? Maybe pictures?

804MLJ is FOUND!!

It's #29 of the 797 made with VIN BJ12034 built a bit earlier than I thought but it was the side indicators that maid me guess 3/94-4/94 but it turned out that BJ12034 has code 860 side indicators as option.

Unfortunately I haven't seen this 540THZ, but this number plate was given out in Tartu and its possible that this car is still in Tartu. But ofcourse, it can be everywhere.

I found that this car owned by user Laur has also 540 with 6speed, if you look his signature in his profile. The number looks 234ASC which also says that this car was bought originally in Estonia. This LKF site gives also that number is correct and it is 540.

My car still runs with 3.0 V8, because the 4.0 litre wasn't in good condition and I need change some parts there.

Saved them but when I looked for 804MLJ it came up!=)

234ASC is #717/797 I checked the VIN and the number came up. It has code 801 DEUTSCHLAND-AUSFUEHRUNG Cosmoschwarz/Anthrazit flockvelour, LSD, Sunroof, 3:rd brake light, Klima and electric rollo

Is there more and larger pictures?

540iA and 740iA E32 is cheap in Sweden, the cheapest I heard of was sold for 2000SKR = just over €200 for a 1994 Alpinweiss III 540iA if you want to buy a complete car with working engine.

This one was originally automatic transmission, but now it has 6spd gearbox.I dont know, would that information help You or not, but im still posting it.

Do you have more information? There is only five possible cars with this combination these are:

BJ12825 Orientblau (darkblue) with 3rd brake light, klimaautomatik, sunroof + a lot more equipment. It's a MJ 1996 and is #789 out of the 797 made.

BJ12745 Sorrentblau (blue) LSD, manual curtain for the rear window, klimaautomatik, sunroof. It's a MJ 1995.

BJ12098 Orientblau (darkblue) an early car with factory side indicators which was an option at the time, the upper parts of the door cards and the instrument panel is black. Usualy it's silvergrey. MJ 1994.

BJ12355 Individual Avusblau (like M5 and early M3 E36) M Steering wheel, manual klima, sold new in Switzerland, Shadowline, ASC+T, cruise control. MJ 1995 (early).

BJ12685 Petrol Mica (shifts between darkblue, darkgreen and black) had M System II wheels (M5 3,8) with the center of the wheel in body color, it had as well memory for the power seats which is an Individual option when the car has folding seats. It had mobil phone, ASC+T, 3 spoke sport steeing wheel but no sunroof.

Can you with this info say which it was?

I am not sure which one it is, but I have some pictures about the doors I wanted to buy year ago. I can give you the links and maybe you recognise the color.

Definitely its not avusblau and neither do petrol mica in my opinion.


Btw, this is currently sold for parts. Maybe its still in one piece and somebody can save this rare machine. There's an add where you can get the vin number also with pictures.

Pretty sure that it wasn't Petrol Mica. It had a cruise control, ASC+T, intensive windshield wash, shadowline. I'll try to remember if I got something else from it.

But the body will be restaurated and welded (new sideskirts) and will get equipment,engine and other things from 540 automatic ( viewtopic.php?f=4&t=168695" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )
And maybe 6 speed manual gearbox in future,we'll see how things will go with it.
